Hermanuspietersfontein is a well-known wine cellar in the Hemel-en-Aarde Village on the outskirts of Hermanus. They have a range of elegant European styled wines with unique Afrikaans names such as “Kleinboet, Postmeester, Kat met die Houtbeen, Skoonma, Kaalvoet Meisie” and more.

Variety of red wines and white wines available to purchase in our coffee shop or to select from for your next event.

Hermanuspietersfontein History

Hermanus Pieters came to the Cape in 1815. He was a Dutch farm school teacher at Boontjieskraal and received a sheep or two as payment from some of the farming parents.

During his travels between farms, Pieters discovered a spring and grazing for his sheep on these shores. He was such a popular man in the community that the spring became known to all as ‘Hermanus Pieters se Fontein’ giving birth to the ‘Hermanuspietersfontein’ we know today.

We are a four star graded establishment. Our guesthouse and coffee shop offers a peaceful retreat for those who would like to do a countryside road trip or stay for the weekend.

Linkview Home Coffee Shop

The Linkview Home Coffee Shop forms part of the historic building that houses the Linkview Guesthouse. Guests can relax next to the sitting room‘s fireplace on cozy couches. Our coffee shop has a beautiful window overlooking the trees outside. The Linkview Coffee Shop serves delicious homemade eats. An outside seating area is also available to lounge in the sun with a good book.
