Frankfort guesthouse, coffee shop, antiques, Persian carpets, oriental rugs, fine art and collectables
Linkview Home offers a unique ‘slow town’ experience in the tranquil farming community of Frankfort located in the Northern Free State. This charming renovated house dating back to 1915 showcases an old world glamour transporting you on a nostalgic journey. Providing a warm homely atmosphere where locals gather.
“Linkview started as an idea on a patio in die Kruger National Park. We decided to open a guesthouse and immediately Corneel became part of our idea. As a team we allowed our imaginations to run free, undoubtedly giving flight to our dreams. We sculpted our reality of opening a guesthouse along with a coffee shop. Above all, creating a home away from home for the locals. Serving quality products with a ‘more is more’ approach is absolutely top of mind.
As our ideas turned into a reality, we also made our love and passion for beautiful objects part of the dream. Persian carpets, fine art and vintage collectibles with a flair for antiques as well.
Above all we would like to give all the honour and glory to our Heavenly Father who has blessed us abundantly.
We definitely look forward to welcoming you to our nostalgic escape to the countryside soon! ” – The Linkview Team
The renovated house dates back to 1915. Firstly serving as an old Town House of Jannies’s great Grandfather. It later became a medical house/hospital where once a week doctors would come and do all the vaccinations in addition to basic health needs. Last but not least becoming a hospital where babies were born. The house carries the family history as Jannie’s dad was delivered here! Matron Swart, the local midwife (said to be an interesting character) took over the house and we later bought it from her daughter.
Many of the older locals were also born
in the house…making it a treasured piece of the community we all love so
Frankfort is en-route to popular towns like Clarens, Bethlehem, Senekal and Rosendal. Without a doubt creates a perfect detour to Harrismith and Durban. Close to main hospitals, schools and amenities.
Guests can take a walk to the Wilge River a few blocks away and enjoy the charming peaceful character of the farming town with its sandstone buildings… View our list of local attractions >>
